Seedling Tree Sale
Spring Seedling Tree Sale is OPEN!
La Plata Conservation District's seedling tree program allows farmers, ranchers and landowners to obtain trees at a nominal cost. The goal is to encourage landowners to plant new forests; to establish effective windbreaks that reduce erosion; to protect homes, cropland, livestock and highways; and to enhance wildlife habitat. Trees and plants are to be used for conservation and/or restoration purposes only. Ornamental qualities such as color, degree of flowering, fruit production, etc. are not guaranteed.
Seedling sales are restricted. To qualify, you must agree:
1. This nursery stock is NOT for use in ornamental or landscape plantings.
2. Seedlings purchased from LPCD may NOT be resold as a living plant.
3. Bareroot trees are available in bundles of 25 per species only.
4. Container conifers, container deciduous and forbes are sold in bundles of 5 only. (D16, D40, GroPlugs and TB2 are container seedlings).
5. Payment at time of ordering is preferred. If you need to pay at pickup, only cash or check will be accepted.
6. If trees ordered are not available, a refund may be issued, unless a substitution is requested/available.
7. Pickup of seedlings will be on May 17th, 2024, at the LPCD Office/Yard located at 31 Suttle Street, Durango, CO, between 9am and 1pm. If you cannot pick up your order, please ask a friend or neighbor to pick up the order for you.
